SWEET BLOOD ORANGE
Forming the top notes in many of our blends, optimistic sweet blood orange offers quick relief for inflamed skin, while therapeutically helping to ease anxiety and self doubt.
Given its antibacterial and antifungal properties, thyme oil can protect skin from related infections. The oil also heals sores, wounds, scars and cuts. Thyme is high iin antioxidant and can slow down the aging process and give a healthy and glowing skin.

An intoxicating aphrodisiac, this deep orange-golden brown oil has relaxing, warming properties and is is known as ‘mistress of the night’ or “raat ki raani’, for it’s strong, intense floral fragrance that builds an atmosphere of peacefulness and love, whilst calming the mind and muscles.
Tulsi or holy basil (Ocimum sanctum) is known as the "Queen of Herbs" and is an important herb in Ayurvedic medicine. It is especially known as an adaptogen, an herb that supports the body's stress response. Tulsi is believed to promote long life and is taken as an elixir to promote balance and resilience to all life's challenges. This is a calming herb that produces relaxation effetcs.
Turkish Rose has anti-ageing properties. It reduces oxidative stress on the body brought on by free radicals, which are the result of everything from stress to environmental polluants.

Known as the 'golden goddess' turmeric has been used in India for thousands of years for its potent beautifying and healing properties. More recently the West has hailed 'cur cumin' (the active ingredient found in turmeric), to have immense therapeutic benefits as antiseptic, antioxidant, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anti-fungal, concluding it to be a powerful anti-ageing ingredient. Tumeric also has the effect of surpressing transmuting growth agent beta One, and it is this that is said to play a part in hair loss. With over 4,000 scientific studies recorded for over 600 medical conditions, turmeric deserves its name as a super food.
We use vanilla absolute in our blends for its rich, slightly deep aroma, with a touch of sweetness, and its ability to relieve anxiety and improve mood.
Vervain was known as a divine herb in Ancient Egypt. Vervain is a deeply penetrating nervine that soothes and sedates the nervous system. It is a relaxing and uplifting herb that can stimulate the release of the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin, enhancing mood and well being. Vervain is also a good night's sleep. Known as a "bitter herb", Vervain is also a digestive stimulant, improving digestive function.

Native to India and central to Ayurvedic medicine, the ‘oil of tranquility’ balances and its rich aroma calms the mind. Vetiver is a cooling antiseptic that heals wounds and scar tissue and promotes new growth. Anti-ageing benefits including regenerating and strengthening, whilst diminishing scars, acne, burns and nourishing tired skin that is losing its elasticity and tone.
Tocopherol is an organic composite found in natural ingredients that is essentially Vitamin E in its purest, most potent form. Vitamin E combats the free radicals found in UV rays and daily pollution thus helping to diminish the damage these cause such as premature wrinkles, age spots, scars and discolouration.
Ylang Ylang oil retains moisture and balances the oils that keep people young, smooth, refreshed, and hydrated. It has also antiseptic properties.
Grown in the lower Himalayan regions of South India, the oil of watermelon seed is rich in fatty acids, omega and linoleic acids, which helps remove excess sebum within the skin to ensure it feels thoroughly cleansed, resulting in fewer breakouts.
