We believe our products are better for being touched by the energy and intention of many wonderful people. These individuals seem to come our way, as if by chance and yet, we know there is not chance and that we are all connected. This was the case when the owner of a large brand agency placed an order and on being the only one in the office at that moment, Anita felt instinctively compelled to contact him and by the end of the conversation, had offered him the candle project. James of Pyott is a brilliant designer and now a dear friend and it is his handwriting that you will see inside the glass as the wick burns down. As you enjoy the delicate scent of this therapeutic candle, give thanks for all those who you share a connection with and then relax and practice the Mauli art of self-nurturing, stillness and letting go, so your true light has a chance to shine.
The first time you light your candle, leave it to burn for 2hrs or at least long enough for the top layer of wax to melt fully, leaving a clear liquid pool. This creates a natural pattern for subsequent burns and minimises a tunnelling effect. Our slow-buring candle can be enjoyed even longer if the wick is regularly trimmed to 5mm, re-centered, any black soot pinched off the tip and the glass vessel is covered. Light for between 2-4hrs at a time, remembering to rotate regularly to ensure directional air does not cause an uneven burn. After the candle imparts its final flicker, let it cool, then handwash the glass vessel and enjoy reusing for whatever inspires.
"Crafting all-natural artisan candles demands greater time, passion and skill than their synthetic counterparts. We have a passion and respect for the genuine healing power of scent and believe the simple act of lighting a candle should bring pleasure and a sense of wellbeing. That comes from breathing in pure essential oils and not toxins and once the senses reawaken, it seems strange to mess with the perfection of nature." Bittu Kaushal
